About Lisa

Lisa is proud she was able to serve as a council member, but was thrilled to reduce her time
spent in meetings by ~80% in 2025, leaving lots more time for friends, the garden, traveling
and generally having a really good time.

One of her big takeaways from her time in office was a great appreciation for
government staff who have to put up with this day after day, year after year.

She suggests we might all have more empathy for these hard-working folks.

In late October Lisa had a minor fall with a major impact: she re-broke her fibula.
It had been broken and surgically repaired with a bunch of hardware back in 2013.
(Warning: Crazy xray included below.)

The re-break is healing well, but seems very slow. She's hobbling around on crutches eagerly awaiting mid-January when she should be back to running & hiking & daily bootcamping.

Prior to the injury she kept as active as always, with lots of running and daily bootcamp

She was also enjoying her electric bike

Lisa spent lots of time serving Sealy...

...who clearly deserves it

She organized an awesome trip to Switzerland (& Spain & Italy) for Eric and Marta's wedding

Which involved a lot of trains

Old buildings

Good snacks

Some famous sites

And time spent with Eric and the Swiss contingent of their newly expanded family
She also planned another great trip to see the other child in Alaska!

Oh yeah, her brother lives there too

Lisa, Steve & Sealy all enjoyed their
time driving REALLY FAR NORTH

With lots of fun stops in Canada

Including the sign forest at Watson Lake

Plus lots of good food.

She read lots of books

Met Michael & Ashley's horses

Spent many good times with friends in CA

Including the symphony with Richard

Once again organized an awesome trip to
Muir Trail Ranch (their 7th?)

And brought the right rain gear... for snow?

Here's that nasty October break

that requires lots of quiet healing time

But luckily Sealy & Steve were ready to take care of her

So she still puts up with them both
