About Justine

This year Justine continued training and loving Shuma the Assistance Dog.

During the summer we discovered he had a rare medical condition. This resulted in several nail-biting trips to several different vets, but so far it's been more annoying than life-threatening.

But as a result of this finding, in November the Canine Companions people notified us they'd have to release him from the program due to the condition.

Perhaps you can imagine how upset Justine was about this...
 

So Shuma has now joined Sirius as a bona-fide 4-legged member of the household,
and does not seem at all disappointed by this career change.
 

Justine also did lots more dance this year, including Irish Tap, Ballet and Lyrical styles.

<= Saw some huge redwoods in Northern California (this is a stump of a fallen giant).

       Continued working on that really cute smile....

Got a bunch taller and dresses up real nice.

And traveled to Washington DC on a school trip with a bunch of friends..
