About Eric |
|
| Since graduating from college in June
2014, Eric's been doing mechanical engineering
at Google on their driverless car project. He lives in a giant home in Woodside with nine great friends: some from college, some from high school. They share cooking & cleaning chores and go on lots of fun outings together. |
|
In September he drove his bus to his 5th Burning
Man with 12 friends, lots of bikes, a 10' slide, a
yurt, a bar for the deck on the roof, and a 38' tall dead
tree.![]() |
He bought [only] two new vehicles this year: an electric motorcycle and a very cute small blue diesel pickup truck. ![]() |
|
Last Spring he and his high school sweetie Elle reunited, and the two of them took a fun trip to Japan. He clearly enjoyed the cuisine. |

During the year he transitioned from a contractor working full time at Google to a full time employee, which means he gets more benefits and is a first class Googler. He continues to help Google with their long term vision to take [bad] drivers off the road and replace them with small, slow, expensive, bubble-shaped cars. ![]() |

Lots more biking this year. In addition to
biking to work most of the time Eric did really well on
the Death Ride in the
Sierras (129 miles & 15,000 feet of climbing; picture
below left), and also did a Low-key Hill
Climb ("Inclined to Suffer"; picture below right) up
nearby Mount Hamilton as well. |

| Another fun & interesting year for Eric! Can't wait to see what he does in 2016. |
