About Lisa

Lisa spent much of her time in 2015 on various HEA activities: supporting our existing projects, developing new opportunities, and lobbying in San Francisco & Sacramento to remove key regulatory barriers to widespread deployment of the new approach to building energy efficiency that HEA and several other companies have pioneered.

Finally, in October our Governor signed three bills into law that do exactly that, thanks in part to her efforts. This is great for HEA, and for California's energy efficiency & GHG emission reduction goals.

With both kids out of the house most of the year, Lisa was only required to manage Steve and the dogs.

As usual she did it with ease & aplomb,  while continuing her HEA work load, cooking all meals,
daily bootcamp regimen, weekly running group, etc.

She also planned and organized our travel adventures, which were pretty complex in 2015: one month-long bus trip, one three week train trip, lots of small local outings, and a major expedition to Tanzania.
For the first big trip in April, Lisa, Steve and both dogs took Eric's WVO school bus/RV on a 6,000 mile meandering loop with stops in Texas and St. Louis and Colorado College to visit loved ones.

Lisa found a whole series of wonderful state parks to visit along the way which they all enjoyed thoroughly.

Here she is in the desert in West Texas with
the dogs and a sprouting century plant.

Even tho the planning was complex she was quite relaxed during these trips:

In the Spring she finished our big front yard project, replacing a large water-sucking lawn (below left)
with California natives that require little water (at right).  She took advantage of a bunch of recycled materials: recycled cardboard as weed blocker, wood chips from shredded construction materials, and crushed brick for all the pathways. It looks great and our water bill has plummeted.

She got spend lots of time with family and friends.

Here she is with brother Don in Texas and with Steve, Tim & Joss hiking in Yosemite.

Lisa continued her volunteering activities: POST is always happy to have her help maintaining local open space properties, and she started tutoring low-income adults at a local community college.

She also had lots of time to enjoy the outdoors in 2015. Here she is admiring

And even though her buddy Shuma
hogs the bed more than Steve
(who slept on the roof this night
in the Carrizo Plain),
he also provides lots of warmth.

Lisa misses Sirius a lot,
and is eager to get another dog.
