About Eric |
|
| Eric turned 29 and evenly split his year
with about 4 months in California (working at Pyka),
4 months in Nigeria (working for MSF)
and nearly 4 months in Switzerland (with Marta!).
Eric hired his replacement at Pyka in April but continues to stay in touch with the company; he has lots of good friends there and they continue to make great progress on large autonomous fixed-wing drones. His third MSF deployment involved helping several different project sites in Nigeria with vehicle and generator maintenance. Eric continues to be impressed by the important work done by MSF but now sees a number of ways to improve the organization. Eric and Marta toured Switzerland during Eric's two long stays there in the Spring and Fall. Such a gorgeous country! They traversed cliffs, valleys, underground lakes, biking & hiking trails and hung out with lots of cool Swiss friends. The end of the year was spent back home in California, preparing for a big bus trip to La Ventana, at the southern end of Baja in Mexico. As we finish this update the bus is packed and all 10 of us are ready to go! ![]() |

| Many people around the US and the world are reassessing their lives/careers after COVID. There is some evidence Eric would be doing this regularly even without a pandemic. |
