About Justine

Justine graduated from Gunn High School and is thrilled to have started at Colorado College. It's an old & small private liberal arts college in Colorado Springs with a unique academic approach they call the "Block" system: students take one class at a time during each 3.5 week block. It's quite intensive, with so much covered each day that it's sometimes impossible for students to catch up if they are sick for a few days. But this approach works great for Justine, who has been known to read books in one sitting.

In addition to course work, Justine has been tutoring local high school students, participated in a Fall dance performance, rock climbing weekly, running daily, and exploring some of the local sights and restaurants as time permits.

CC also provide and encourage lots of outdoor activities, like jumping in the air on the nearby Rocky Mountains, which Justine has already mastered...

May and June were a busy months: she had to take a bunch of AP exams, and here she is with her graduation cap and also during her final dance performance after 15 years with Marti's Dance Studio.

After graduation she and a friend took a trip to Europe, spending time in Belgium and France.

Then she enjoyed a nice relaxing summer, getting ready for the transition to college (and doing the required reading!).

Here's Justine studying the sand at a local beach.

She has a great group of friends who have stayed close even though they are all attending different colleges.

After reading, which she does voraciously, her most enjoyable activity is exploring beautiful remote locations.

She also loves spending time with her dogs and her family.

And for the second year in a row she organized the family photos into this Holiday web site, earning deep gratitude from her co-producers.
