About Justine

Justine has embraced life in the shadow of Pike's Peak. Like all Coloradans, she now bikes, climbs,
runs, backpacks, summits 14ers, and skis, all the while "A"cing her academics with apparent ease.

She declared as a biology major and had her first work experience
at Stanford's mycology lab this summer.

She has some really close friends both in California and Colorado who she keeps in close touch with, no matter what state she is in. She attracts some with delicious baked goods and increasingly complex knitted accessories. Others just find her fun to be with.

She loves experiencing seasons,
especially winters with white stuff.

In January 2014 she got to go make snow angels
in Fairbanks, AK, during a brief period of
daylight while visiting her aunt & uncle.

As usual, she read tons of books this year.

Here she is caught in the highly unusual (?)
act of sleeping on the job.
One of her major accomplishments in
2014 was convincing her family
(excepting her ground-hugging mother)
to skydive with her over Monterrey,
free-falling from 10,000 feet!

She enjoyed it even more than expected.

Talk about cool grandmothers:
one took her to Mongolia and the other
funded her skydiving adventure!

She was able to spend lots of time with her family, skydiving, road tripping, cooking/eating,
generally enjoying the outdoors, and even sometimes getting all dressed up.

She still enjoys spending time with two of her favorite boys, Shuma and Sirius, above.

And thanks to her diligent work on this web site,
her father has once again named her as his #1 daughter.
