About Lisa

After finally getting used to an empty nest, her son returned home (yay!) and her very oldest
delinquent child (Steve) seems to require an increasing amount of care & attention.

She spent a lot of time managing HEA's customers, working on finding new ones,
and improving the service itself, all of which justified her taking over the title of President.

She also redesigned our front yard with all native California plants to
use less water than the old lawn. Her design will be implemented in January.

Steve cajoled her in to going on many long bike
rides, which she actually seemed to enjoy.

They participated in the climate ride and two other self-supported multi-day rides along the California coast. She's becoming a rather avid biker!
HEA consumed quite a bit of her time,
although she never slacked on her primary
job of tending to Shuma's needs.

He is a companion dog, after all, and Shuma thinks this means he deserves a constant companion.

She continued to organize great trips, hikes, and runs in California with her family and friends.

Lots of great times outdoors. She went to Fairbanks, AK, with Justine and her mom in January for the sledding, and continued to volunteer to fight off invasive species for POST.

She has been very supportive of her children's desire to be vegetarian, and can now create some top notch vegetarian dishes.

Here she is after making one of the family's favorite meals: instant oatmeal while we are out camping.

She escorted Justine (in the family's Toyota Highlander) out to Colorado in August. They had a great trip touring parks in California, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, and Colorado. Here she is in Lassen National Park.
She left the car with her daughter, to keep her safe in the snow.

She is still unable to make Steve grow up
but for some reason she still enjoys trying.

And he appreciates her efforts very much.
