Family Stuff
We traveled quite a bit this year, but rarely all
together due to scheduling and commitments.
Lots of camping.
We all went to Steep Ravine on the California coast at the
beginning of the summer.

Steve went camping with his running buddies, and
for Christmas we got a new tent and
were so excited about it we set it up in the backyard.

Steve and Lisa had two adults-only trips full of
exercise: a cycling tour around Colorado and Utah in the fall and
a hiking trip between the High Sierra Camps in Yosemite in the
summer while Justine was in Alaska.
They didn't feel bad about leaving Eric home alone because he had
just come back from Tahiti (lucky boy).

We also spent lots of fun times with friends and
family.

We all took Justine zip-lining in the Santa Cruz
mountains for her birthday and all enjoyed it, even Lisa who is
not a fan of heights.

We got to spend a lot of time in the snow, but
because snow kept falling so late in the season
we were often in shorts and t-shirts.

We watched Eric row in a few regattas, even in the
rain.

We hosted international exchange student Linda,
from Austria, for two weeks in the spring, through a program
Justine found. Linda managed just fine, even when we were
acting strange.

The dogs continued to act like puppies. Sirius has
completely recovered from his knee surgery and is very playful.
They have lots of puppy friends that they play with on a regular
basis that keep them young. All that playing makes them very
sleepy.

This year we hit a new record low for our family's Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions, primarily due to less flying and driving.
