About Justine

Justine is a junior at Gunn High School and officially wore more boots and read more books
than the rest of us: she has 5.5 pairs of boots (Lisa and her share one) and her Kindle
allows her not to drown in the large number of books she reads.

She continues to dance -- both Irish tap and Lyrical -- but often successfully conceals her natural
grace and elegance. Here she is wrapped in green saran wrap on the left (thanks to her brother),
and on the right...  we don't know what she's doing.

She convinced Lisa and the dogs to accompany her to the White Mountians, which are on the the east side of the Sierras (and which she claims dominion over). They are home to the ancient Bristlecone Pine trees. 

 They had fantastic weather and a campsite with an outstanding view of the back side of the Sierras (which you can see in the picture below).

She also convinced us to host a student
from Austria (Linda) for 2 weeks
in the spring and we all  truly enjoyed it.

We all miss Linda, and hope to host
another student in 2012.

Justine loves animals. 

Here she is trying to save Henry (a small bird who sadly didn't make it),
and with Valentine (the horse) in Texas...

 
...and her most important job: companion to Shuma the failed companion dog.

She got her driver's license,

...and learned how to 
ride a tiny little bike,

...and in December was promoted
to Senior Production Manager of
Schmidt's eGreetings, Inc.

She spent lots of time with her mom and dad

and  her big brother.
